How do you feel about your smile? Are there things you wish you could change? Like other areas of dentistry, cosmetic changes can be used to obtain often dramatic results and its never been easier.  The area of cosmetic dentistry encompasses many facets of dentistry. Smile Makeovers can be simple or complex. At Bowser Dental Arts we have the experience and expertise to provide you with the best solution to your cosmetic concerns.

We can provide cosmetic services that include crowns, veneers, and all porcelain restorations. Many of our cosmetic porcelain restorations can be placed in a single visit with the use of our CEREC 3D system. This means no temporary restoration and no second visit for the placement of the final restoration. We were the first office in York County to have this system.

Bowser Dental Arts also has the Advanced Zoom II whitening system, the most effective dental whitening system available.

Porcelain Veneers

Porcelain veneers are a fantastic way to repair or enhance the appearance of front teeth. They can be used to whiten teeth, close spaces and create a great smile. Using veneers, we can even perform virtually "instant orthodontics" to straighten crooked teeth and give you the bright smile you always wanted.
  • Reduce or eliminate spaces between the teeth
  • Repair broken or chipped teeth
  • Whiten dark, yellow, permanently stained or discolored teeth
  • Correct misshapen or crooked teeth

Teeth Whitening

Bleaching products brighten teeth that have been stained or darkened by food, tobacco use, injury or aging. In-office bleaching takes place over a series of one-hour appointments at the office. First, your teeth will be examined and cleaned to make sure there are no cavities, loose fillings, gum problems or other issues that may be exacerbated by the bleaching process. A custom-fit mouthtray will be made for your teeth. Then the bleaching gel is applied to your teeth in the tray.

Bonding

Bonding can improve the appearance of chipped, broken, cracked and stained teeth and spaces between teeth. Dentists apply a thin layer of tooth-colored composite resin to the teeth to restore chips and cracks, fill in gaps or cover stains, and provide patients with a more attractive and functional smile. First, a thin layer of plastic material is applied to the tooth's surface. Then the dentist sculpts the bonding material to the desired shape and bonds it to the tooth using a special light. The bonding material comes in many colors so it will be possible to match the shade of your teeth. Once the plastic has hardened, it is polished until it is entirely smooth. The procedure takes one to two hours and the bonding lasts about 7-11 years.

Natural Color Restorations

For most fillings on back teeth we use a natural looking, cosmetic resin. This is a strong, plastic material that is easy to apply and difficult to detect. This material produces a long lasting, natural looking filling. When the size of a cavity is too large for this material, we are then able to use ceramic, tooth colored partial crowns called onlays. These onlays are made in 2 visits to the office and are also a durable, cosmetic solution.
